Amalia armchair

Produced for a private commission, the Amalia chair series offers an elementary, almost schematic synthesis of bistro seating and dining armchairs.
It's pure silhouette combines the presence of armrests with an extremely compact footprint. Inspired by the "horseshoe" chairs of the Ming period as much as by Thonet's  wooden furniture, its design unfolds in a rigorously elementary grammar that focuses all the attention on the contours of a carefully curved beech wood.
The result is a classic and timeless piece of furniture, a true discreet essential.
